The Worth of Souls.

Every person you see- whether one you pass on the street, at your place of work, or at the store, is literally a son or daughter of God. As I have been out here amongst these beautiful people on my mission in Jacksonville Florida I have begun to truly see the real identity of each person I meet. I have been blessed to look past what superficial or temporal appearance might show forth at first glance, and begin to see them as a child of God.

The scriptures have many passages that speak of our identity along with our worth. In the book of Isaiah the Lord states that “I will make a man more precious than fine gold” (Isaiah 13:12). From latter day revelation we learn that “…the worth of souls is great in the sight of God” (D&C 18:10).

The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps us to become more Christlike. Our Savior was the greatest example of goodness. He never had cast an unfair judgement nor looked down upon anyone. He recognized each and every person as precious. As I live the Doctrine of Christ I find myself becoming more Christlike and recognize others potential and worth. Striving to become like Christ is a never ending pursuit, but is a travail that leads to peace and happiness.

I know that as each one of us strive to become Christlike we will recognize the worth of every soul. We will do our best to help them come back to the presence of their Father in Heaven.

It is my testimony that God the Father lives. That we and each soul can return to Him. That He loves us. That He sent His Son, our Elder Brother Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind, and that he too loves us. It is my conviction that because of the Love that God has for us He wants each one of us to return to Him. Every soul, is great in the sight of God. I know that as we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ we can become cleansed from sin and all unrighteousness and be found spotless at the last day. Worthy of the words “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

One Response to The Worth of Souls.

Dear Mr Allred, you wrot “Every soul, is great in the sight of God. I know that as we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ we can become cleansed from sin and all unrighteousness and be found spotless at the last day.” It is true that G-d so love the world that he sent his only begoten Son, that whoever believe in him shall not perish, but the bible teach also that “all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of G-d (Rom 3:23), that the wage of sin is deat (Rom 6:23) and that all our good works are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:4). And For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands (Rom 3:20) Psalm 7:11 said God is angry with the wicked (sinner) everyday. Through the teaching of Jesus, and by following what he said, we can not be made clean. By changing our lifestyle, and doing good it wont change the sin we made in the past.

Only through faith in Jesus sacrifice, we can be forgiven of our sins (behold the Lamb of G-d who takes away the sin of the wolrld). For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am He, you will indeed die in your sins, but if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (forgiven of all your sins)

Whoever put his trust in the L-rd shall be safe. Salvation belongs to the L-rd, we can not save ourself.

    G-d Bless.
